some poor choices and omissions i'm not excited or confident

Interesting Rio injury prone so can't go - PL 29 starts, no sub appearances. Gerrard, good enough to go and be England captain - PL12 starts and 6 sub appearances. No double standards there then.

Glen Johnson at Right back over Micah Richards. I have lost all faith.

johnson has done nothing all season micah richards team won the title i dont see the logic here. rio should have been included over terry again. i guarantee if england go out early they'll be talking of division in the camp like they did at the world cup and it was john terry at the heart of it all then as well..

Johnson has done a marvelous job at RB for Liverpool this season. A lot of people don't give him credit nowadays, they just think of how he played a few seasons ago when he was a terrible defender. He has shaped really well by Steve Clarke

My opinion is that Walker and Richards are a millions miles better than Johnson.

Richards is better than Johnson, no question in my mind and Richards is 4 years younger, he will still improve a bit more too i think.

I just cannot believe that Downing is going at all he has been pish all season. I would rather take Joe Cole back! He at least has had a good season at Lille. Carroll okay I can understand a bit on recent form but i still prefer Crouch because he has a better goalscoring record for club and ESPECIALLY country.

Crouch has scored a goal every other game for England, he has a really good international record and he is playing pretty well. I don't see how Carroll is a better choice as a target man than Crouch.

England are majorly lacking up front, without Rooney the attacking options seem distinctly second rate. It is such a shame England has not produced another top class attacking talent to partner Rooney.

Ferdinand should have gone, however i don't think he will be a big loss now where he might have been 2 years ago, Lescott and Cahill can do the job.

Finally i am a little disappointed Carrick again is overlooked for Milner he doesn't even seem to get considered but Carrick has had a really great season even if he had to play second fiddle to Barry or Parker i felt he should go.

How Downing, Glen Johnson, Carroll and Milner made it into the squad is beyond me. How about Adam Johnson, Richards, Crouch and Carrick instead?

lennon instead of downing, walker instead of johnson, bent (if he was fit), crouch or holt instead of carroll and adam johnson instead of milner!! downing is wank he hasnt scored a single goal this season and has like 1 or 2 assists and carroll dont get started on that waste of space!!

I'm not sure with Downing b/c Adam Johnson is a better player, but Carroll definitely deserved his place he has played really well in the last couple of months.

hes played ok for 1 month! that dosnt just vanish his last awful awful 14 months. 47 apps in all comps with just 9 goals that is gash!!

cant believe he's taking downing and barry. and how about putting jordan henderson on standby, it laughable.

i seriously doubt we'll even make it out of the group stages.
