Euro 2012 provided some great team play, but a few individuals stood out thanks to their good performances.

This list is not just about players who raised their profile in the transfer market, but players who made their quality clear and set themselves apart as stars or future stars.

The players on this list have made any fan who wasn't fully aware of their talents sit up and, in the case of those who were not known at all, gave us reason to keep an eye on them moving forward. 

Here are seven players who have "arrived" thanks to their great performances at Euro 2012.

Sky Sports Scout held Vaclav Pilar in high regard when they looked at the player before the tournament began, and the diminutive Czech winger did not let them down.

Pilar was his team's most exciting attacking threat and was a menace for all opposing defenders when on the ball.

He came up with two goals during the tournament and set himself apart as a player to watch in the future.

The fact that Jordi Alba was strongly linked with a move to Barcelona before and during the majority of the tournament was a testament to the quality of the player.

Having said that, Alba still had to show just how good he was.

In the end, based on his performances, he was the best full-back in the entire tournament.

Alba was extremely solid at either end of the pitch. He contributed a goal and an assist while snuffing out his opponents' attacking threats.

Two goals against Ireland and a fantastic equalizer against Italy made Mario Mandzukic one of the most talked about players in the tournament.

The player was unlucky not to continue his scoring against Spain but had already shown by then what he was about.

Full of energy and with a good touch as well as good movement, Mandzukic showed his quality and really raised his profile with his performances in the tournament.

Michael Krohn-Dehli's age, 29, may reduce the chances of him making a major move. However, it doesn't stop him from being on this list.

Krohn-Dehli was Denmark's most potent attacker. He had a hand in one goal in each of Denmark's games.

The Danish attacker finished with two goals and one assist while playing against Germany, Portugal as well as the Netherlands. He showed he has the quality to play for a bigger team than Brondby.

Theodor Gebre Selassie was definitely an unknown quantity before the tournament began. However, he was a good presence down the right for the Czech Republic and was one of the better full-backs in the tournament.

Even when the Czech Republic was getting beaten by Russia, Selassie was an energetic presence for his side and carried that through all his games. His runs forward were something to watch and the player got himself an assist thanks to his attacking mindset.

A pretty effective display against Cristiano Ronaldo in the quarterfinal was the icing on the cake for the right-back. Even though the Portuguese winger scored in the game, he didn't have the beating of his defender during most of the match.

It was tough choosing between Andriy Yarmolenko and his fellow young winger Yevhen Konoplyanka, but the Dynamo Kiev man edges it.

While Konoplyanka was lively and is a more known entity now, his somewhat wasteful shooting during the tournament let him down.

Meanwhile, Yarmolenko showed great technical qualities, creativity and good link-up play with his teammates during the majority of the tournament. The youngster was being touted as the heir to Andriy Shevchenko. Based on his performances, it's easy to see why.

Despite all the hype surrounding him during his career so far, Alan Dzagoev needed to make a statement about his talents on a big stage.

He did so perfectly during the tournament with three goals to lead his team and was unfortunate not to be able to carry that form into the knockout rounds.

Dzagoev's finishes showed the player's great composure in front of goal and adding that to his technical qualities makes him a really solid attacking midfield prospect

According to ESPN, he was the topic of increased interest from Arsenal after his start in the tournament.
