Manchester City is reportedly close to selling Carlos Tevez to Italian side A.C. Milan.  After a very controversial year at Manchester, which saw Tevez exile himself from the team and return to help City capture their first championship in 44 years, the former City skipper looks like he will finally find a new home.

Tevez signed a 5 year contract for Manchester City in 2009.  His wondrous form at City has been completely overshadowed by his off and on the pitch antics.  Tevez has continually expressed his desire to leave the club, and it seemed he sealed his fate at Manchester when he refused to come off the bench in a 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Following this display, manager Robert Mancini vowed that he would not play again for the club. Tevez left the squad and exiled himself to his native Argentina.

Controversy would surround Tevez yet again when Mancini retracted his statement and brought Tevez back into the squad for a final push for the title.

Roberto Mancini has his eyes set on Dutch striker and Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie.  It appears as though in order to complete this deal, which will demand high weekly wages and transfer fee, Mancini has to part with one (or more) of his strikers.  Tevez seems the most obvious and natural choice.

Tevez has been linked to Italy before, but it appears as now his move to Milan may finally be finalized within the week.

It has been reported that Tevez has been made Milan's top transfer target after losing two of their top players, Silva and Ibrahimovic, to Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester City has slapped a 22 million pound price tag on striker Carlos Tevez after Italian club AC Milan made the Argentinean striker their top target following departures of forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and defender Thiago Silva to French club Paris St, Germain.

It seems as though the van Persie saga should be decided sooner than later, and it would appear that the fate of Carlos Tevez hangs in the decision of Robin van Persie.
