Great Britain vs. Brazil: Deep Squad Gives Brazil Best Chance for Gold Medal

Brazil's amazing depth gives them the best chance of any country at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London to take home the gold medal in soccer.

With quality players at every position on the pitch, the Brazilians should be able to dethrone their rivals Argentina as kings of Olympic soccer.

One advantage Brazil has over several of the nations who qualified for the Olympics is that many of their country's best players are under 23 years old, which is the age limit in Olympic soccer (although three over-23 players can be selected).

This inexperienced Brazil squad will use the Olympics to form great team chemistry that will help them dominate the World Cup on home soil two summers from now. However, despite their inexperience, Brazil is certainly capable of dominating Olympic play.

Let's take a look at the impressive depth that the Brazilians have:

A squad with that many talented young players is going be very difficult to beat for anyone, even a team like Great Britain that has some experienced players.

In their pre-Olympics match against Great Britain on Friday, Brazil won 2-0 thanks to goals from Sandro and Neymar (penalty).

They overwhelmed Britain with their incredible skill and pace. The defeat for Britain wasn't a result of them playing terribly, it's just that Brazil is so far ahead of them.

No other squad in the Olympics has this kind of talent and depth, so it will be a massive failure for Brazil if they don't win the gold medal in London.
