Olympic Soccer 2012: Brazil vs. South Korea Semifinal TV Info, Prediction

The Olympic men's soccer semifinal matchups are set with Japan taking on Mexico in game one and Brazil facing South Korea in game two.

Brazil is the heavy favorite to bring home the gold, especially after the elimination of Great Britain in their quarterfinal game on Saturday.

South Korea held off the hometown favorites, rallying to beat the Brits by a tally of 5-4 in penalty kicks in front of the home crowd at Millennium Stadium. 

Brazil barely held on to beat Honduras by a score of 3-2 in their quarterfinal victory at St. James' Park.

Honduras gave the Brazilians all they could handle, despite losing Wilmer Crisanto in the 33rd minute to back-to-back yellow cards.

But playing one man down proved to be too much for Honduras, as they hoped to upset mighty Brazil.

This heavily anticipated semifinal matchup is the difference between a guaranteed silver (potentially gold), and a fight for Olympic bronze.

Here's a look at what's in store when Brazil faces South Korea this Tuesday.

Prediction

The Brazilian squad is marked by their ferocious attack led by Leandro Damiao, Neymar and Lucas up front.

So far in the tournament, Brazil leads all teams with 12 total goals. That's just two less than the other three semifinalists combined.

Their defensive backs leave a bit to be desired though, and it will be up to veteran Thiago Silva to help anchor the defense and prevent shots on goal.

Gabriel has seemed a bit shaky in net for Brazil up to this point, allowing five goals in the first four games.

South Korea has been stellar on defense in the tournament, recording two draws via shutout and allowing just one goal each to Great Britain and Switzerland in two other bouts.

Their offense needs a bit of a boost, however, scoring just three times thus far in London.

Brazil has scored as many goals in each of their first four games.

It's hard to imagine Brazil falling short of the gold this year with the rest of the top teams already out of contention.

South Korea hung tough against a very talented British squad, but Brazil will really put their defense to the test come Tuesday.

Expect the Koreans to keep it close, but not close enough to ultimately take down the Brazilians.
