According to Sky Sports, Sao Paulo have had interest from big-spending French club Paris St. Germain regarding Lucas Moura—which would surely put Manchester United out of the race for the talented teenager.

Moura, 19, was tipped to join the Red Devils this summer, but with an asking price of around £30 million and PSG tipped to pay around £35 million, he simply became too expensive for United to afford (per The Daily Mirror).

Robin Van Persie

Manchester City have conceded that they will not be signing Robin van Persie over the summer transfer window, and with Juventus also out of the race, it seems that Manchester United are the last viable option left for the Gunners striker.

That is, not including Arsenal themselves, who look likely to retain the 28-year-old for another season after spending big in the summer transfer window to try and convince RVP to stay (per The Daily Mirror).

Fernando Llorente

After rejecting a new contract from Athletic Bilbao, Manchester United transfer target Fernando Llorente could be on his way to Old Trafford over the summer transfer window.

The star striker is believed to want to be a part of Champions League football this season, with Juventus also interested in signing the 27-year-old (per Goal).

Dimitar Berbatov

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is believed to be close to a deal with Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via Talksport.

The Bulgarian striker has seen himself fall down the pecking order at Old Trafford and will thus need to leave United if he wants to play first-team football.

Usain Bolt

    Yes, that Usain Bolt.

The fastest man in the world had joked previously about a trial at Manchester United, but fresh off his gold-medal performance, he has come out and stated that he would like to trial at Old Trafford.

    Seriously.

Bolt told reporters via The Sun that he was serious about a possible trial with manager Sir Alex Ferguson because he can actually play football.

We all want to think that he's joking, but somewhere deep down inside, Bolt seems to be speaking for real.

Robert Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United—despite everybody in Borussia Dortmund stating that the Polish international will not be making a move this summer.

Lewandowski was rumored to be making a move by The Daily Mail, which was then promptly dismissed by the Dortmund manager via Sports Blid (h/t Crunchsports).

This one isn't going to happen, so let it go everybody.

Isco

The Red Devils are believed to be interested in signing Malaga midfielder Isco, who recently competed at the 2012 London Olympics for Spain (per The Daily Mirror).

In light of Malaga's well-documented financial troubles that have already seen Santi Cazorla jump ship to the English Premier League. A move for the £20 million rated midfielder could well be profitable for Sir Alex Ferguson—especially considering he wouldn't have to offer anywhere near the £20 million asking price.

Nuri Sahin

And wrapping up our Manchester United transfer news for the week is Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin, who United are trying to poach on loan next season—hijacking Arsenal's move for the 23-year-old (per The Metro).

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is happy for the midfielder to leave on loan this season to play some first-team football.  Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all believed to be interested in signing the Turkish international.
