Manchester United is filled to the brim with players who excel on the international level.

Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Robin van Persie and Nani are just a few of the many Red Devils who are pursuing success for their respective countries during international play.

As of Saturday morning, you can add winger Robbie Brady to the list.

The Football Association of Ireland announced on its official website that Irish manager Giovanni Trappatoni has called up the 21-year-old Brady for his first international match—a friendly exhibition on Tuesday against Oman at Fulham's Craven Cottage. It'll be the first opportunity Brady has had to earn a cap with the senior Irish team.

A long-time member of Ireland's youth system and a two-year veteran of Manchester United's reserve team, Brady earned a full season of first-team football when he went on a season-long loan spell with Football League Championship side Hull City last year.

Brady earned 41 appearances with the Tigers and scored three goals.

Ireland U-21 manager Noel King had a lot of praises to sing about the Irish winger (via the FAI):

Robbie has deserved his call-up. He’s been sensational for us—as the people of Sligo will testify after his previous performances in the campaign. He sets the place alive, and some of his play has been outrageous. He’s a great personality. He has a good demeanor and a good manner, and he’s a credit to his family. I’ve nothing but good to say about him, and I hope he fulfills his potential. It’s a lot coming at a young age for him, but he has big shoulders, and I think he’s going to be one of our most exciting players.

A strong showing by Brady against Oman could warrant a further look by Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson for a spot on the final 23-man roster. But no matter the result, it's a great thing for Manchester United to have yet another player earning international appearances with his country.

Manchester United supporters never get much of a chance to see their youth-team players, but Tuesday night they will as Ireland takes on Oman—the first-ever meeting between the two countries.
