QPR vs. Chelsea: Complete Player Ratings for the Blues

After an incredibly intense 90 minutes, Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers each earned one point on Saturday.

It was the first time this season that Chelsea has dropped points, but no one can blame them after playing in such a hostile environment. Playing another West London team is always tough, but QPR have developed a special disliking for the Blues since the John Terry/Anton Ferdinand incident.

Once Ferdinand chose not to shake Terry or Ashley Cole's hand, it was clear that there was no love lost between these two teams. It was a physical match, and each team deserved one point.

Petr Cech notched his third clean sheet, which is best in the Premier League.

He was only called upon three times against Queens Park Rangers, but Cech was up to the challenge each time. The defense has been shaky as of late, but Cech has maintained good form.

On Saturday, though, both the defense and Cech had solid games.

Ashley Cole was tough again on the left side of the defense.

The home crowd certainly didn't let him have an easy match, but he still got the job done. He accumulated four tackles, and he made a few vital clearances.

Cole didn't let the crowd affect his play, and he proved how tough of a competitor he truly is.

John Terry picked a heck of a game to come back from injury.

After missing a few games, Terry decided to make his return in the most hostile environment possible—and he must've found it soothing. The Chelsea captain did just about everything on defense, taking the ball from QPR whenever he had the chance.

Moreover, the defense looked more confident with Mr. Chelsea in the back, which is something the Blues have desperately missed.

For seemingly the first time this season, David Luiz looked pretty confident defending.

With John Terry at his side, Luiz was strong in his tackle, and he didn't recklessly go forward. It was nice to see him a little more disciplined, because that's what Chelsea need from him.

Luiz was good on Saturday; he just needs to play with Terry more often.

Branislav Ivanovic put in another solid performance at right-back.

Although it isn't his natural position, Ivanovic looked good yet again on the outside. His ability to move forward continues to improve, while his on-ball defending is still very good.

Ivanovic was nothing special on Saturday, but his reliability is essential to Chelsea's success.

John Obi Mikel was tough in the centre of the park on Saturday.

The referee was letting the players play, and Mikel took full advantage of that. He was a physical presence, and he did a good job winning the ball.

His attacking is still subpar, but that's not what Chelsea need from him. If he can be this effective defensively, Mikel will be an incredibly valuable.

Frank Lampard was solid once again.

He moved forward well, notching two shots on target. His 69 percent passing needs to improve slightly, but he was trying to play directly, which is a reason it was slightly low.

He complimented Mikel well today, and Lampard desperately needed a good showing, which he gave at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Roberto Di Matteo likes to employ Ryan Bertrand ahead of Ashley Cole to slow down the opponent's wingers.

Unfortunately, that takes a lot away from Chelsea's attack. Bertrand is a skilled player, but he isn't used to playing so far forward. He can take the ball away when necessary, but his attacking prowess leaves a lot to be desired.

Bertrand deserves some first-team playing time, but not out of position. It isn't fair to him, and it's not fair to the club.

In such a physical game, it's tough for someone like Eden Hazard to be effective.

Nevertheless, the Belgian starlet managed to get three shots off, putting one of them on target. His passing rate was over 80 percent, which is exceptional for a match like this.

Hazard could never have maintained the form he had going, but it was nice that he didn't put in a poor performance; instead, he found a middle ground that is promising going forward.

To me, Ramires was the man of the match.

He was dangerous on the offensive end, pushing forward and putting pressure on the QPR defense. His passing was sharp, and he provided some width for the Chelsea attack.

On the defensive side of things, Ramires had seven successful tackles, winning the ball back in a variety of places. It was a great effort from the Brazilian, as he made a brilliant case to remain in the starting XI.

Fernando Torres put in a decent performance on Saturday.

He was making good runs, but he was never quite able to get the final pass to him. He put his only shot on target, which is a good sign, but nothing else was special from him.

It would've been nice to see if he could've cracked the defense on a solo goal, but that wasn't in the cards today. Torres played a fine match; it just wasn't anything too special.

Victor Moses, 6.5: Moses came on for an ineffective Ryan Bertrand to make his Chelsea debut. As Chelsea shifted into more of a 4-3-3, Moses was employed in a forward role, but he didn't change the game much.

He will be a very valuable asset to Chelsea's depth, but he didn't do anything spectacular in his debut.

Daniel Sturridge, 6.0: Sturridge simply wasn't given enough time to make things happen. The much-maligned striker came on for the last 10 minutes, but he wasn't able to make anything happen.

Roberto Di Matteo should've given him at least 15 minutes to get into the flow of the game and possibly change the scoreline. Instead, he gave him a shorter amount of time, and the young striker was unable to make a serious impact.
