Del Piero was one half of one of the most devastating partnerships to ever grace Serie A with the French striker David Trezeguet.

In 2005 Juventus travelled to the San Siro to tackle AC Milan in a duel that would decide the outcome of the championship.

Del Piero was able to provide one of the most outrageous assists we have seen in order to secure a 1-0 victory and send the title to Turin.

Del Piero Inspires Amazing Comeback vs. Fiorentina

5 of 10

Del Piero, like on many occasions, was the protagonist in one of the most special football matches that Serie A has ever produced in 1994.

Fiorentina led Juventus 2-0, before Del Piero conjured up some magic, inspiring the Bianconeri to an unlikely 3-2 victory.

Scoring with the most outrageous finish with the outside of his right boot, as the ball dropped over his shoulder, firing the ball into the top corner of the net.

It is incredible to imagine that this all took place 18 years ago, but this is no ordinary football player.

Del Piero's Goals in Serie B

There might not be one that stands out in particular, but Del Piero's performances in the 2006/07 season will be remembered by Juventini forever.

In the aftermath of Calciopoli, following relegation to Serie B, the majority of Juve's formidable squad from the previous season refused to help the club return to Serie A and waste a season of their careers in the second tier of Italian football.

In an act of true loyalty, Del Piero not only stayed, but delivered the goals to fire the Bianconeri back to Serie A at the first time of asking.

Goal as a Substitute vs. Bari

In 2001 Del Piero was not enjoying the 2000/01 season, scoring nine goals in 33 matches, when the tragic news of his father's death was broken to the Azzurri international.

Carlo Ancelotti decided that Del Piero should start the match against Bari on the bench, but with the game delicately poised at 0-0, Del Piero was sent on to make an impact.

He proved his worth by drifting down the left side, dodging several tackles from the Galletti and chipping the ball over the goalkeeper and wheeling away in jubilation.

Last Goal vs. Atalanta as Juventus Lift the Scudetto

It was the final match of the season and Juventus had already reclaimed their first Scudetto in nine years, yet there were tears of sadness shed by the 41,000 in attendance.

Alessandro Del Piero waved goodbye to the fans after Juve had decided not to renew the player's contract and it was fitting that the Bianconeri legend signed off with a goal.

The goal was nothing extraordinary but the celebrations that followed were something truly memorable.

The crowd goaded Del Piero to partake in a lap of honour after sitting down on the bench, having been substituted and the legend gratefully accepted the invitation, milking the applause for almost 10 minutes while the match continued to play without anybody taking any notice.

A truly special way to end a glittering career.
