Radamel Falcao is coming to the Premier League, and there's nothing Atletico Madrid can do to prevent the inevitable, says Chelsea star Fernando Torres.

Torres reckons that the Colombian dazzler must end up leaving the Spanish club, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all reported to be pursuing the striker.

Torres himself left Atletico for Liverpool for £20 million in 2007.

Torres's current club Chelsea have been consistently linked with Falcao for the past 12 months, and now look to have green-lighted a move for him in January.

The 26-year-old, rated at £46million, will provide direct competition for the Spaniard should he move to Stamford Bridge.

And Torres says that Atletico are simply too small a club to hang on to such a big talent... at least at the moment.

“It depends on the growth of the team, so you never know," Torres told newspaper El Pais. “But if the player becomes bigger than the club, you can’t hold him back because that is no good for anybody.”
