15 Best Looking Hairstyles in World Football This Season

0 of 15

    Hairstyles.

We all have them. We all most likely have different styles and ways in which we like to fix our hair every morning. Well, the same goes for footballers also.

Every footballer has his unique hair style and has his own way of shaping his hair—some of which look a little better than others, shall we say.

Let's check out the best looking hairstyles in world football this year.

David Luiz, Chelsea

1 of 15

Let's kick off this list with everybody's favorite Sideshow Bob impersonator—David Luiz, who may very well actually be Sideshow Bob himself.

The defender's flamboyant personality and presence make him simply one of those guys that make you laugh in world football—starting with the mop that rests on top of his head.

Stephan El Shaarawy, AC Milan

2 of 15

I'll be honest. I have absolutely no idea what Stephan El Shaarawy is doing with his hair.

But the 20-year-old striker is one of the top young players in world football—if not the best at the moment—and his mohawk simply makes him even more enjoyable to watch.

Jonjo Shelvey, Liverpool

3 of 15

    It's still a hairstyle, right?

Bacary Sagna, Arsenal

4 of 15

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has always graced us with wonderful hairstyles.

This year is, well, no different to last year's, which seems to be completely okay with all of us.

Andrea Pirlo, Juventus

5 of 15

Andrea Pirlo's biblical-esque hairstyle has taken a wonderful turn for the better this season with the permanent introduction of a beard to match his flowing locks.

Clearly all of Pirlo's on-field skills come as a result of his ruggedly-handsome look and hairstyle.

Mario Balotelli, Manchester City

6 of 15

Very little about Mario Balotelli isn't outrageous.

Over the years, the Italian international has become one of the most enigmatic characters in world football—starting with his incredible hairstyles.

This season has provided a thin mohawk, which is clearly better than some hairstyles he's had before, but does lend itself to some seriously scary characteristics.

Which, if we're going to be honest, means it's a perfect fit for Balotelli.

Neymar, Santos

7 of 15

Brazilian sensation Neymar has always been an exciting young character.

From his flowing mohawks to his dazzling on-field skills, everything about the Santos forward has been incredibly exciting and dramatic.

Even when he does his hair to make it look like he didn't do it in the first place—something I'm not sure I'll ever quite figure out—it still ends up looking fairly cool.

Alexandre Song, Barcelona

8 of 15

The English Premier League has never been the same since Alexander Song took his wonderful hairstyle (and skills too, I guess) with him and headed for Barcelona.

It does seem to have calmed down from last season, but Song's hair is still one of the most fantastic hairstyles around at the moment.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paris St. Germain

9 of 15

This is Zlatan. His hair is nowhere near as eccentric as he is.

But it's still quite out-there and simply fantastic in full flight—regardless of whether it's up, down, or somewhere in between.

Philippe Mexes, AC Milan

10 of 15

I'll be honest, I have no real idea what is happening with Philippe Mexes' hair at the moment—there's just a bit up there and it's a little bit hacked up and it's far too short on the sides.

But when he does things like this, I guess he can have his hair however he wants.

Steven Pienaar, Everton

11 of 15

It takes a certain type of man to pull off cornrows.

Steven Pienaar is therefore that type of man—even if it looks like he just came back from Fiji and hasn't yet changed his hair.

Djibril Cisse, Queens Park Rangers

12 of 15

Djibril Cisse is a weird looking man.

I'm really not sure what else to say about the Queens Park Rangers player other than I have no idea what his plan or "design" is for his hairstyle both on his head and on his face.

    It's just really, really weird.

And that's what makes it great.

David Beckham, Los Angeles Galaxy

13 of 15

He might be leaving MLS at the end of the year, but David Beckham's hair continues to always make it's way into any discussion about hairstyles—regardless of whether it's good or bad.

This season's look is just a smart, organized look—which makes us think there must be something phenomenal coming our way soon. Maybe something like this, again?

Kyle Beckerman, Real Salt Lake

14 of 15

Every man, at some point in his life, wants dreadlocks.

    Admit it. You wanted dreadlocks.

Now revel in the fact that Kyle Beckerman has one of the greatest hairstyles going around in world football at the moment.

    I know I am.

Marouane Fellaini, Everton

15 of 15

We finish our list here with Everton's Marouane Fellaini, who no doubt has one of the best hairstyles running around in the Premier League at the moment—if not world football.

Really, there's just an awful lot of hair.

    Like, a lot of hair.

Like...I think you get the point.

What are the greatest hairstyles in world football at the moment?
