Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has admitted that he misses life as a coach and can see himself heading to England at some point in the future.

Leonardo has often been mooted as a potential caretaker boss at the Parc des Princes if PSG ever opted to sack Carlo Ancelotti before bringing in a replacement.

And, while the Brazilian, who has coached both AC Milan and Inter, is happy at PSG at the moment, there are things he misses, including being a coach.

"It is true that I miss Italy a lot, even more than Brazil", Leonardo told French daily Le Parisien.

"In my professional life, I miss being a coach, that’s true, but Carlo has nothing to fear", he laughed.

"In the future I see myself going back to the bench. Ideally, it would be the same in England, with a managerial role."

The Brazilian’s declaration may have pricked ears in England, with his deal making skills and contacts book highly regarded.

Leonardo has played a key role in PSG attracting some of the top players in world football and doing deals for a number of them ahead of fierce competition, since he assumed his post.
