Long thought to be one of the most prized targets for European clubs this transfer window, Fiorentina's Stevan Jovetic is indeed switching clubs and will join Manchester City this summer, according to a report from James Horncastle of ESPN.

The Viola's Twitter feed confirmed the news, while Manchester City confirmed they had signed the forward on Friday, according to BBC Sport.

Jovetic was excellent for Fiorentina this season, scoring 13 goals and adding five assists for the Italian club. It was the second straight season he scored double-digit goals for the club.

And at 23 years of age, his potential is immense.

Jovetic is a versatile forward, able to either lead a line or drop behind the striker as a central attacking midfielder. He can even slide out wide if needed, but he's at his best in the center of the pitch as a team's point guard or on the edge of the box.

He's truly a complete attacker. He has solid pace, fantastic control and poise on the ball, a knack for finishing and the creativity, imagination and technical prowess to serve as the primary facilitator for his teammates.

If he does lead the line, he'll obviously need to increase his scoring rate as well as improve somewhat in the air. When playing as the lone forward atop the attack, he's more likely to take on defenders and run into channels than hold up play or serve as a sturdy target for high crosses into the box.

His every move will now obviously come with a lot of scrutiny, as he'll be expected to do big things this season given the hype that surrounds his signing. But given his already well-rounded skill set and huge potential, it's hard to imagine him disappointing.
