On his way? Charles N’Zogbia looks set to be shown the exit door at  Aston Villa (Picture Getty Images)

Charles N’Zogbia could be heading for the Aston Villa exit with Hull, Crystal Palace and clubs on the continent all possible destinations.

The Frenchman has fallen down manager Paul Lambert’s pecking order following a host of new arrivals at the midlands club and may be sold for the right price.

Tigers boss Steve Bruce was in charge of N’Zogbia when they were both at Wigan but may find the asking price too steep.

Palace could be in the same boat despite needing a long-term replacement for Wilfried Zaha now he is at Manchester United.

Villa are sending Alan Hutton on loan to Mallorca while goalkeeper Shay Given, midfielders Stephen Ireland, Barry Bannan and Nathan Delfouneso are among others who are also free to find new employers.

Striker Darren Bent is also in the way out but hopes of a move to Fulham are fading and Newcastle prefer Lyon forward Bafetimbi Gomis and QPR striker Loic Remy.
