David Pleat recommends Bale to wait a year

David Pleat, ex-manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has claimed that Gareth Bale "is too young to go abroad. It won't be at all easy for him. Many players, most of them in fact, have come to grief".

Pleat, talking to the BBC, added "It would be a new beginning for him, his partner and their baby. The best thing would be for him to stay and then leave next summer if he still wants to".
