Edinson Cavani enlists new agent to help seal £56m move to Manchester United from Paris Saint-Germain this summer

Edinson Cavani's brother is playing a key part in the Paris St Germain striker's move to Manchester United.

Cavani had been represented by Pierpaolo Triuzi who orchestrated his transfer from Napoli to Paris last summer. However, a dispute means that Cavani's elder brother Walter has engaged another agent to discuss potential moves.

Manchester United have already been sounded out, as revealed by Sportsmail earlier this year and talks are developing over a potential £56m move.

Cavani said: 'Nowadays, my family is with me in Paris and if something should happen, my brother will manage it and will sit on a table with any clubs' officials.'

The 27-year-old has been unhappy playing in a wide role with PSG to suit Zlatan Ibrahimovic's position as central striker and is also looking for a stronger league than France.

Talking to L'Equipe last month he added: 'Will I remain at Paris next term? We will see at the end of the season. I am fine in Paris, but obviously there are things we have to talk about with the club, things we need to do in a different way.

'Playing in 4-4-2 was my vision of the team when I joined Paris. It is one of the arguments that motivated me to sign in that club. Let’s terminate Le Championnat and we will see what will happen.'
