Manchester United must rethink their strategy if they're to land Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia.

The Argentine is being linked with United as manager Louis van Gaal seeks a defensive midfield signing.

Rome sources say intermediaries indicate United will seek to do business for around €10 million. But that falls well short of Lazio's valuation, which paid Anderlecht €8 million two years ago for the midfielder.

Complicating things further for United is competition from PSG.

The big spending French giants have also been tracking Biglia this season.
