Dunkin’ Donuts has issued an apology after their doctoring of the Liverpool logo offended some fans.
The Massachusetts-based chain replaced the eternal flames from the Reds’ logo with iced coffees, and put the company’s slogan, logo and donuts in the crest.

The flames in the logo represent the victims of the Hillsborough 96 disaster, a tragedy which remains in the headlines due to investigations surrounding the horrific actions of authorities as fans suffered horrific deaths in Sheffield.
From The Guardian:In a statement reported by the Liverpool Echo (Dunkin’ Donuts) said: “We apologise for any insensitivity regarding our tweet supporting an LFC-themed promotion featuring the LFC crest.
“As a proud partner of LFC, we did not intend any offence, particularly to the club’s supporters. We have removed the tweet and halted the campaign immediately.”
