In a rather lovely gesture of their appreciation, Tottenham have laid on free coach travel for supporters planning to make the 560-mile round trip to Newcastle next month.

Spurs have acknowledged of the fact that the Sunday afternoon fixture on April 19th will be a bit of a pig in terms of transport arrangements and as such agreed to waive the cost of going to the game on their official supporters’ coaches.

What’s more, further to the offer of free bus travel, the club have also arranged for a select number of season ticket holders to be flown up to St James’ Park (or thereabouts) on a specially chartered private aeroplane.

As the club point out, there is a nominal fee of £2.51 to enable Thomas Cook Sport’s system to accept bookings, etc, but still – you can’t argue with them prices!

The Spurs jet will depart from Stansted at 12:00 and arrive at Newcastle Airport one hour later, with the return flight departing Newcastle at 20:00.

As you’d expect, places on the plane are extremely limited so getting in there early is being encouraged.

Whether or not club captain Younes Kaboul will be personally serving crisps and tea is yet to be confirmed.
