Chelsea skipper John Terry insists he has no plans to hang up his boots.

The Blues stalwart, 34, played every minute of their Premier League campaign as Jose Mourinho's side regained the title.

Rio Ferdinand brought the curtain down on his career this week, but Terry, who signed a new 12-month deal in March, insists he is still fighting fit.

Speaking on the club's post-season tour, he said: "Firstly I was delighted to play every single minute of the Premier League season.

"Especially as at my age you tend to get written off as well. So it was nice on a personal note to play in all of the games.

"I don’t know what my fitness is down to, but the manager and the staff played a big part in the way we train.

"I feel I’ve also benefited from the couple days rest during the international breaks. So the manager and staff deserve a lot of credit, and me also for staying fit and keeping my form and place in the side.

"I am hoping that is going to continue for a few more years yet. I am hoping to finish my career at Chelsea and I hope I can do that under this manager."
