United blog The Peoples Person said: "It’ll be very interesting to see who turns up for it because Cristiano Ronaldo is one player who’d Rooney, and the fans, would love to see back at Old Trafford in a United shirt again.
"As for the other players who’ve played with Rooney, take your pick: Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Ruud van Nistelrooy… He could make one hell of a team for the testimonial."
