Manchester United are reportedly set to offer Matteo Darmian as part of a deal for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils have already seen one bid of £60 million rejected, and will now look to up their offer for the 23-year-old.
With eight goals and 13 assists in 35 Serie A appearances last season, the France international has certainly impressed since United let him go on the cheap in 2012.
It is now looking like it could cost Jose Mourinho a sizeable fee to make up for Sir Alex Ferguson’s mistake – that’s if he manages to bring Pogba back at all.
Juventus have enquired after Darmian, and with Mourinho happy to let him go, United are ready to use the Italian as a makeweight in any deal.
