Everton defender John Stones believes Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is actually tougher to mark than Sergio Aguero or Luis Suarez.

The Manchester City and Barcelona stars are widely regarded as two of the best strikers in the world, while Giroud was booed by his own fans for missing chances with France recently.

‘I mean they are great players, with unbelievable movement. In all honesty, I’d have to say Olivier Giroud, you don’t realise how strong he is,’ the England international told Mundial Magazine when asked to pick between the trio.

‘When he gets close to you he can hold you off and his touch is brilliant.’

Last season, the Frenchman managed 16 goals in 38 Premier League appearances, while Aguero netted 24 in 30 games.

In La Liga, Suarez scored an unbelievable 40 times in 35 matches, winning the top goalscorer award ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
