Manchester United ace Bastian Schweinsteiger is set for crunch talks with Jose Mourinho over his future at the club, Germany head coach Joachim Low has revealed.

The 31-year-old moved to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich last summer but endured an injury-ravaged debut campaign at the Theatre of Dreams.

The Germany captain scored on his return to action during the side’s 2-0 win against Ukraine on the weekend but it’s unclear where he fits in Mourinho’s plans.

Schweinsteiger is believed to be keen to stay with the Red Devils but Low has confirmed the midfielder will wait until after Euro 2016 to discuss his future with Mourinho.

‘I prefer to get my information straight from the horse’s mouth,’ explained Low, when asked about Schweinsteiger’s future.

‘Bastian and I exchanged thoughts about several things in the past few days, but we talked about his position and his fitness. We had no room for transfers in those talks.

‘At this point, it does not interest me. Bastian will clarify his situation with his new coach (Mourinho) after the European Championships. To me, he appears to be very relaxed.’
