Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi admits he ‘loves’ Mamadou Sakho but insists no talks have been held over a move for the Liverpool defender.

The 26-year-old hasn’t featured at all for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season and has been linked with a move away in January.

In December, Klopp confirmed that the France international is no longer part of his first-team plans, while PSG’s president has now revealed that the defender is not on the club’s radar.

‘I love Mamadou Sakho as a player and as a person, too,’ Al-Khelaifi told Infosport+

‘But we have not spoken to him.’
