Wilfried Zaha will not join Spurs this month, but Galatasaray winger Bruma does remain on their transfer radar.

Bruma is considered by many as the most exciting player in Turkey this season, and his statistics are impressive, with five goals and five assists from 16 matches.

He has pace and skill to take players on from either flank, and his style of play is similar to that of Zaha, a long-term Tottenham transfer target.

Galatasaray are concerned Bruma's head has been turned by the fact Spurs have been scouting him regularly this season.

I understand club officials have had discussions with the player to make it clear they are unwilling to let him leave in January—but promised they will be open to business at the end of the season.

Galatasaray are hopeful the situation will not become difficult, but Bruma has begun to dream of a Premier League switch and could push for the move if Spurs' interest becomes concrete.

Everton are convinced they will land Memphis Depay, but three other clubs are still vying for his signature.

The main transfer focus at Goodison Park has been on Morgan Schneiderlin, whom they are also trying to sign from Manchester United.

However, they have paid more attention to Depay in recent days, and officials feel they are well-placed to complete a deal.

Depay, 22, has also had offers from France and Italy recently, though.

Nice, Lyon and Roma have all put forward tempting proposals that the player is considering as he prepares to reignite his career.

Leicester are showing interest in Spartak Moscow forward Quincy Promes.

Liverpool seemed to be in pole position to sign him, per the Mirror, but may not have things all their own way in this pursuit.

The reigning Premier League champions have just added Wilfred Ndidi to their ranks and are now on the lookout for a new goal outlet.

Promes, 25, has weighed in with six goals and seven assists this season.

Fulham need a new striker if they are to push for promotion from the Championship, but two key targets are going to prove difficult to land.

Hull City's Abel Hernandez and Middlesbrough front man David Nugent have both been identified as potential signings by Slavisa Jokanovic's side.

But Aston Villa are now considering a fresh move for Hernandez after failing to complete a deal for him in August, per Sky Sports.

And Derby County are looking into the possibility of signing 31-year-old Nugent.

It is a frustrating time for Fulham, who have been left in a dilemma since loan striker Chris Martin made it clear he would like to return to parent club Derby.

Fulham may yet sound out Aston Villa over the possibility of re-signing Ross McCormack. 

Sunderland have put a block on Jermain Defoe leaving this month.

The striker was keen on a move back to London, and West Ham were eager to have him on board.

But Sunderland officials discussed the situation before Christmas and realised they could not replace his goals. The message remains now that he simply cannot leave—at any price.

Defoe has scored 11 of their 19 goals this season, and selling him would probably lead to relegation.

Their star player will stay on board, but now the Sunderland board will be under pressure to help him out by bringing in new signings.
