Hello darkness, my old friend… (Picture: BT Sport)

Gabriel Jesus opened his account for Manchester City against West Ham on Wednesday night but one player on the bench didn’t look overly pleased for the youngster.

Sergio Aguero’s face was an absolute picture as the Brazilian wonderkid scored City’s third goal in the 39th minute at the London Stadium in a scintillating first-half from Pep Guardiola’s men.

Aguero has come under pressure for his place in City’s starting XI for the first time in his career at the Etihad – since Jesus’ arrival from Palmeiras – and he doesn’t look too happy about it.

Jesus, who was playing only his third match for his new club, joined for a fee of £27million with a massive reputation from Brazil.

And, so far, the 19-year-old has lived up to the hype… much to the relief of Guardiola, off the back of an extremely difficult spell for the Premier League giants.

Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva scored the other goals before the break for the visitors in what was a totally one-sided 45 minutes.
