Leicester fans appeared to be rounding on Claudio Ranieri on Saturday afternoon after the Premier League champions were beaten by 10-man Millwall in the FA Cup.

Already under pressure amid the limpest Premier League title defence ever seen, Ranieri made 10 changes to the side that lost at Swansea last weekend. Despite the mass changes the Foxes were still the heavy favourites to beat a side sixth in League One.

And that became the case even more when Jake Cooper was sent off for the hosts at The Den early in the second half.

However Ranieri’s side were stunned when Shaun Cummings came up with a 90th minute winner to send the London club into the quarter-finals.

It was a result that suggested perhaps Gary Lineker was right all along when he tweeted soon after Ranieri’s arrival at Leicester: ‘Claudio Ranieri? Really?’

Huge numbers of fans were calling for the Italian’s head after the Fifth Round defeat to Millwall.

Leicester’s next game is a Round of 16 tie with Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday. But will Ranieri still be around to take charge?
