Zlatan Ibrahimovic showed his outstanding professionalism during Manchester United’s draw with Anderlecht on Thursday by using a goal celebration to relay instructions to his team-mates.

The Swede has been a hugely influential figure at Old Trafford since his arrival in the summer and he displayed why he commands so much respect during the Europa League quarter-final first-leg in Belgium.

As Manchester United celebrated Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s 37th minute goal, viewers noticed Ibrahimovic giving his team-mates orders.

Despite having just taken the lead, he told them: ‘We need to do more’.

Ibrahimovic was proved only too right. Despite dominating the game, Manchester United were unable to find another breakthrough and paid the price when Anderlecht striker Leander Dendoncker scored with a powerful header in the 86th minute. To rub it in it was the hosts first and only shot on target.

With the tie level at 1-1, the sides play the second leg at Old Trafford next Thursday.
