Jamie Redknapp feels Mauricio Pochettino is benefiting from having at squad at Tottenham that shares the same footballing philosophy.

Spurs maintained their fine form on Saturday afternoon by thrashing Bournemouth 4-0 at White Hart Lane.

The emphatic victory, which was inspired by goals from Mousa Dembele, Heung-min Son, Harry Kane and Vincent Janssen, ensured Tottenham again moved to within four points of league leaders Chelsea.

Pochettino’s charge are now 17 points ahead of north London rivals Arsenal, who are in sixth place but have two games in hand.

The Gunners have lost five of their last eight league games and Redknapp believes there is currently a stark difference between the application of Arsenal and Tottenham players.

‘There are no passengers in this Tottenham team, everybody is at it,’ the former England midfielder told Sky Sports.

‘Everybody is closing, everybody’s pressing, they all seem to buy into it. I’m not trying to dig out Arsenal here but if we look at them at times, they have got passengers.

‘There are people who don’t buy into the pressing side of the game.’

Redknapp added: ‘But with Tottenham it’s completely different, you can see the energy they play at, because the amount of times they win the ball high up the pitch, it becomes infectious.

‘It happens all over the pitch. You have to be well coached, but you have to buy into it, you have you be full of energy and this is what this Spurs side is at the moment.’

Redknapp admitted that while Spurs are firing on all cylinders right now, they will need a dramatic slip up from Chelsea to get their hands on the Premier League title.

‘Whether they can go all the way and win the league, it’s going to take a little bit of a capitulation from Chelsea reall, but they’re right in the mix,’ he said.

‘It’s their away form that bothers me. They’ve only won six of 15 away from home, here they’ve won 15 of 17.’
