You would forgive Juventus players for feeling the nerves ahead of their all-important Champions League clash at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night – but Dani Alves looked the most relaxed person in the stadium.

Alves could be seen exchanging pleasantries with his former Barcelona colleagues on the bench ahead of kick-off but Bjorn Kuipers had absolutely no time for the Brazilian’s mingling.

Incredibly, the 33-year-old full-back was spotted sprinting towards the pitch as the quarter-final second leg began without him.

Barca boss Luis Enrique could be seen joking and pointing towards the pitch in amazement as the Catalan giants got the much-anticipated match underway.

Luckily for Alves, he was able to get back into position in time as the ball was hoofed back to Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen from the centre circle.

While Enrique appeared to find Alves’ touchline antics hilarious, Juve manager Massimiliano Allegri probably did not see the funny side.

He certainly won’t be making this same mistake again!
