Manchester United are ready to spend £170 million on Torino striker Andrea Belotti and Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann this summer, according to reports.

The Independent claims that United have ‘made progress’ in signing both players as they seek long-term replacements for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney.

Belotti, who is currently the joint-top scorer in Serie A with 25 goals this season, has an £84 million release clause which only applies to teams outside of Italy, and Torino are adamant that it must be triggered in order for the striker to be sold this summer.

It’s claimed that United are in talks with Torino and are trying to reduce the transfer fee, and are willing to use Matteo Darmian as part of the deal.

Griezmann, meanwhile, has an £85 million release clause in his contract with Atletico Madrid.

The Independent reports that United’s salary offer to the France international is ‘extremely persuasive’ and the club are confident that progress has been made in negotiations.

United will step up their efforts to bolster Mourinho’s attacking options following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s cruciate ligament injury which is likely to rule him out for the rest of the year.

‘He is in America and that’s the only thing that matters now,’ Mourinho told Sky Sports.

‘He is in America to have the surgery and start the recovery process.’
