Mesut Ozil has spoken out amid speculation he could be set to leave Arsenal for Fenerbahce in the summer transfer window.

The German playmaker has had his best season in front of goal for the Gunners this term but has been heavily criticised for the level of his performances over the course of a disappointing campaign.

Ozil is yet to agree to a new deal at Arsenal, and is thought to be demanding £300,000-a-week to stay on in north London, but it appears he will not be moving to Turkey ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

‘Many people ask me that question [about Fenerbahce], my family, my friends,’ the 28-year-old World Cup winner told Goal.

‘When they hear something like that they keep telling me: “Join that club” or “Go there!” But at the moment I have a contract at Arsenal and I do not think about Turkey or other leagues.

‘You can never know what is going to happen in the future. I feel very, very comfortable here.

‘We’ll see about the rest.’
