Jose Mourinho has already reached an agreement with Antoine Griezmann’s representatives over a transfer to Manchester United, according to reports in Spain.

Mundo Deportivo claim that the France international will be joining Old Trafford this summer unless he breaks the agreement Mourinho has with his camp.

But to sign Griezmann, United must activate the £89 million release clause in the 26-year-old’s contract with Atletico Madrid.

Mournho will be looking to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer following the Swede’s knee surgery which is likely to rule him out for the majority of the year.

And although Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata have both been linked, Griezmann is Mourinho’s top attacking target.

The United manager is expected to spend big this summer, and Gary Neville believes the club will have a huge budget at their disposal.

‘Jose Mourinho has been unbelievable in the transfer market over the years,’ he told Sky Sports.

‘They got £45m back for Schneiderlin and Depay and maybe if (David) De Gea leaves it will be £60m or £70m – so he’s going to have £200m to spend.

‘He has only signed four players in one transfer window.’
