Hector Bellerin to Barcelona: Spanish club set to announce signing from Arsenal - reports

BARCELONA are set to announce the signing of Hector Bellerin from Arsenal, according to sensational reports in Spain.

Is Hector Bellerin the world's fastest player?

The Arsenal right-back is one of Barcelona’s top summer targets as they look to overhaul their squad after a disappointing campaign.

Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League in the quarter-final stage to Juventus and look set to miss out on the La Liga title to Real Madrid.

But Diario Gol claim the club are close to announcing the arrival of Bellerin - with the player already looking for houses in the city.

It is claimed Barca will announce the signing at the same time as confirming Lionel Messi has signed a new deal at the club.

Hector Bellerin has had a mixed season at Arsenal this year after struggling with injury

The 22-year-old has had a mixed season at Arsenal, starting well but struggling after his injury.

He was left out of the side after the initial change to a back three with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain preferred at right-wing-back.

And with the Gunners set to miss out on the Champions League for next season the Spain star looks set to quit the Emirates.

Arsenal beat Stoke on Saturday to keep the heat on Manchester City and Liverpool and face Sunderland tonight in their penultimate game of the season.

But they sit four points and three points behind Liverpool and City and if City beat West Brom tonight the race will be all but over ahead of Sunday’s final round of fixtures.

Bellerin came through the academy at Barcelona before moving to Arsenal and establishing himself as one of the top right-backs in world football.

And Barca have been missing a specialist in that position since Dani Alves left for Juventus last summer.
