Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech is reportedly ‘devastated’ at being left out of Arsene Wenger’s starting line up to take on Chelsea in tomorrow’s FA Cup final.

The 35-year-old is expected to be benched in favour of David Ospina at Wembley tomorrow afternoon, despite being Arsenal’s number one in goal for much of this season.

Ospina has often filled in in cup games and in the Champions League, though the Colombian struggles in recent outings against the likes of Bayern Munich and West Brom.

Arsenal fans reacted with horror to the news of Wenger’s decision earlier on today, and Cech is also said to be gutted at the snub, according to the Guardian.

It is claimed that the Czech Republic shot-stopper may have been carrying a slight knock this week, though he is now believed to be fully fit and ready to play tomorrow’s game against his old club.

Still, barring an injury to Ospina, Cech won’t even get on the pitch for the Gunners, who face an uphill task to take home the trophy against Antonio Conte’s in-form side.

Chelsea only recently won the Premier League title with a 1-0 win at West Brom, and will now feel confident they can make it a double against an Arsenal side that finished outside the top four for the first time in Wenger’s long reign.
