Aaron Ramsey claimed Arsenal’s season should be labelled as ‘successful’ after the Gunners beat Chelsea at Wembley to win the FA Cup.
The Wales international scored a late goal to clinch a 2-1 victory over the new Premier League champions.
Arsenal finished fifth during the regular campaign, missing out on the top-four for the first time under French manager Wenger.
But shortly after securing the FA Cup for a record 13th time, Ramsey said: ‘I can’t describe this, it’s been an up and down season.
‘But to finish it like this, it has to be a successful season to win a bit of silverware.
‘I love this competition and playing here – the boys deserve it and I’m happy for the manager.’
Rival fans disagreed with Ramsey’s sentiment…
