Alvaro Morata ‘tells Gareth Bale to join him at Manchester United’ as Spanish striker closes in on £64m move to Old Trafford
Bale has been linked with a move to United in the past, and fans will be desperate for him to follow close friend Morata
ALVARO MORATA has told Gareth Bale to join him at Manchester United - as the Real Madrid star closes in on a £64million deal.
The Spanish striker is rumoured to be flying in to England on Monday to complete his huge transfer from the La Liga champs.
And in a move that will leave United fans excited beyond belief, the 24-year-old apparently wants his "great friend" Bale to make a move back to the Premier League.
The news has been reported by Don Balon, who quote Morata as saying he thinks the Welshman would add an extra dimension to the United team next season.
Manchester United were in for Bale when he decided to leave Spurs back in 2013 - but were blown out of the water by Real Madrid's £86m offer.
But after lighting up La Liga since moving to Spain, Bale may fancy another crack at becoming the Premier League's best player.

Morata had been tipped for a move to Old Trafford since any deal to sign Antoine Griezmann became unlikely following Fifa’s decision to uphold Atletico Madrid’s transfer fan.
A move was made even more likely when United confirmed current No.9 Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be leaving the club this summer.
And radio station Onda Cero report that on the back of the Swede’s release the Red Devils moved a step closer to signing a replacement by agreeing a fee for Morata.
The 24-year-old will travel to Manchester on Monday to finalise the move.
Morata was handed his professional debut by current United boss, Jose Mourinho, at Real Madrid in December 2010 for a La Liga victory over Real Zaragoza.
