Roma have reportedly approached the representatives of Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj over a potential summer transfer as he looks set to end his Old Trafford misery.

The Belgian youngster’s career has gone badly downhill since he broke onto the scene in 2013/14, with failed loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland looking like sealing his fate.

Recent reports claimed Jose Mourinho was planning on letting Januzaj go on the cheap this summer, with a supposed asking price of as little as just £10million.

Several clubs are showing an interest in the 22-year-old, including AC Milan, Inter Milan, Monaco, Lyon and Marseille.

However, the Daily Mail claim Roma are the ones who have initiated talks with the player’s entourage over doing a deal to bring him to the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma’s interest may stem from their fears of losing key attacker Mohamed Salah to Liverpool, with speculation growing that the Egypt international will make a big-money move to Anfield.

Januzaj was seen as a huge prospect when he first broke through at United and could prove an astute purchase by Roma if he managers to get his career back on track.
