Two Arsenal players caught the eye in the early stages of tonight’s Confederations Cup match between Chile and Germany, with Alexis Sanchez helping himself to a goal after just six minutes.

The Gunners star made it 1-0 to Chile after a dreadful error from his club team-mate Shkodran Mustafi, playing in defence for Germany.

Mustafi’s poor ball out found itself to Sanchez, who exchanged passes with Arturo Vidal before steering a low left-footed finish in off the post to embarrass Mustafi.

As if it weren’t already bad enough for the 25-year-old, he was also lucky to stay to get away with a strong challenge on Vidal after he released the ball for Sanchez to score.

Not a great moment for one Arsenal player, but the other certainly enjoyed it as his fine scoring form in the Premier League last season continues on the international stage.

Sanchez will be eager to impress at this tournament as he seemingly angles for a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer, with Manchester City and Bayern Munich the main clubs being linked with him at the moment.

The 28-year-old contributed 30 goals and 13 assists to Arsene Wenger’s side last season.
