Arsene Wenger has spoken again with Kylian Mbappe about a potential move to Arsenal this summer, according to reports.

L’Equipe claims that the Arsenal boss contacted the Monaco forward and as well as discussing the prospect of joining the Premier League, the pair also spoke about the 18-year-old’s overall career progression.

Wenger’s phone call is his latest effort to bring Mbappe to Arsenal having already visited the striker at his house last year.

Arsenal, however, have been told by Monaco that they will need to pay £130 million in order to sign the France international, according to the Daily Mail.

The Gunners are also facing strong competition from Real Madrid, who have stepped up their efforts to sign the forward this summer.

It was initially claimed that Madrid would be willing to sign Mbappe this summer and allowing him to remain on loan at Monaco for another season.

But L’Equipe claims that Zinedine Zidane and Madrid president Florentino Perez personally guaranteed in a meeting with Mbappe that he would get playing time at Madrid next season.

Perez reportedly claimed that he would even be willing to sell one of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema or Cristiano Ronaldo in order to find a place for Mbappe in Madrid’s team.
