Arsenal are reportedly ready to consider a transfer move for Bordeaux striker Gaetan Laborde this summer if they fail to land the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe.

The Gunners have been linked with some ambitious moves in the transfer market this year, with Arsene Wenger seemingly finally ready to spend big on established stars.

Lacazette is a primary target, but reports yesterday suggest that, while a deal could be struck next week, the 26-year-old is still open to the possibility of moving to Atletico Madrid instead.

According to Foot Mercato, Wenger is looking at Laborde as another option, with the 23-year-old also previously attracting some interest from Liverpool.

Laborde contributed 13 goals and five assists to Bordeaux’s season in 2016/17, but looks like a player with some potential as Premier League clubs continue to monitor him.

Arsenal’s only signing so far this summer is free agent Sead Kolasinac, who was poached from Schalke, and the north Londoners now urgently need to look into strengthening up front.

Alexis Sanchez remains strongly linked with a move to Manchester City, while Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez have also been tentatively linked with possible departures.
