Monaco star Kylian Mbappe has given his Twitter page a new look, sending a message to any potential suitors this summer that they are going to have to break the bank to sign him.

The teenager is one of the most in-demand players in world football after a sensational campaign last season, in which he helped fire Monaco to Ligue 1 glory and became the youngest ever scorer in a Champions League semi-final.

He is being chased by many of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Real Madrid, with reports suggesting that all three teams have made bids of around €130 million (£114m).

But even that may not be enough to tempt Monaco to sell – with the French side ready to do everything possible to keep Mbappe – and the teenager has given a cheeky nod to his price tag in his new-look Twitter header.

The 18-year-old uploaded a picture of himself running past an advertising hoarding plastered with the word ‘PRICELESS’, which is a rather accurate description of a player with the world at his feet.

Mbappe is reportedly considering a new and improved contract with Monaco that would increase his salary by 900 per cent and give him parity with highest earner Radamel Falcao.

He is known to be cautious about moving this summer given that the World Cup is just one year away, and does not want to risk his place in the French national team.

A move to Real Madrid could see him reduced to the role of impact sub among the Spanish giants’ much more established roster of world-class attackers.

That had given Arsene Wenger the confidence that Mbappe could be persuaded to be the main man at Arsenal, with the team built around him, but as the youngster has already alluded to, that dream may cost more than the Gunners can afford.
