Arsenal are the latest club to be linked with a transfer swoop for Robert Lewandowski as he reportedly continues to look for a way out of Bayern Munich.

The Poland international has been on the radars of Chelsea and Manchester United this summer after hitting out at his team-mates for letting him down in his quest to win the Bundesliga top scorer award last season.

Lewandowski still remains keen to quit Bayern, and is monitoring Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at Real Madrid as he hopes to come into contention for a move to the Bernabeu.

Real have been linked with the prolific 28-year-old in recent times, but he could also become a surprise target for an increasingly ambitious Arsene Wenger this summer, according to Sport Bild.

After missing out on a Champions League place for 2017/18, Arsenal have been linked with some high-profile players in potential big-money moves, with a striker seemingly a top priority for the club.

Latest reports claim the Gunners have had a bid rejected for Lyon front-man Alexandre Lacazette, while £120million-rated Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe also remains on their radar.

Lewandowski would certainly be a fine alternative if Arsenal miss out on those two, with the former Borussia Dortmund man scoring 43 goals in 47 games in all competitions last season.

Still, the likes of Chelsea, United and Real will surely fancy their chances of beating the north Londoners to his signature due to being able to offer him Champions League football next term.

For now, however, it remains to be seen if their interest is as strong, with Chelsea thought to be closing in on a move for Romelu Lukaku up front, while United work on a deal for Alvaro Morata.

Madrid’s plans, meanwhile, will surely depend on whether they keep hold of Ronaldo and bag their top target Mbappe.
