Chelsea have been dealt a blow in their bid to sign Alvaro Morata as the striker is increasingly leaning towards staying at Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
The Premier League champions are desperate to sign a new forward having lost the race with Manchester United to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
Antonio Conte has reignited his interest in Morata after failing to sign the Spain international from Real Madrid last summer.
But on Thursday evening, Onda Cero claimed that the 24-year-old does not view a move to Stamford Bridge as a ‘feasible’ option.
Morata has also received a huge contract offer from Tianjin Quanjian worth a €30 million (£26.4m) a season, but the striker wants to remain in Europe and has no plans to join the Chinese Super League.
The Spain international, who is currently in Los Angeles with Madrid’s squad for their pre-season preparations, is now focused on staying with Zinedine Zidane’s side.
Onda Cero also revealed details of Manchester United’s offer for Morata.
Jose Mourinho’s side had failed to successfully negotiate a transfer fee with Madrid, but the striker was offered a four-year contract worth £200,000 a week.
Chelsea, meanwhile, could now be forced to pursue alternatives targets should they fail to land Morata for a second successive summer.
Torino’s Andrea Belotti and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have both been heavily linked.
