Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: No deal (Getty)

Any interest Chelsea had in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been scuppered amid reports Borussia Dortmund have ended all hope of a deal.

The Gabon striker has been linked with a big-money move away from Germany all summer.

Among those linked with the prolific striker has been Chelsea who are desperately seeking a replacement for Diego Costa.

Antonio Conte has informed Chelsea’s top scorer from last season that his services are no longer required, therefore leaving the Blues in need of attacking reinforcements.

Aubameyang is one of a number of players linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge this summer owing to his incredible form in recent years that saw him end last season as the top scorer in the Bundesliga.

But after warnings from Borussia Dortmund that the clock was ticking on a deal happening, Sky Sports in Germany report that the club will no longer entertain selling the player this summer.

With Aubameyang under contract until 2020 the club are in a strong position to resist any continued interest.

In addition to Chelsea, AC Milan will be disappointed by the development with the Serie A outfit among those pursuing the 28-year-old.

Chelsea will have to renew their focus on alternative targets with Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, Man City hitman Sergio Aguero and even Crystal Palace forward Christian Benteke being mooted as options.
