Manchester United and Tottenham have the chance to sign Ivory Coast international Serge Aurier for a bargain £22.5million after Paris Saint-Germain settled on an asking price for the defender.

PSG boss Unai Emery confirmed this week that Aurier has asked to leave the club and the right-back’s been left out of the side’s squad that travelled to the United States to face Spurs.

The 24-year-old fell out of favour in the French capital last season and irked Emery by taking ten minutes to get ready in one match to replace Thomas Meunier.

Dani Alves’ arrival at the club has pushed Aurier further down the pecking order and both Tottenham and Manchester United have shown interest in the defender.

Reports on Friday claimed United star Paul Pogba was putting pressure on the club to move for his close friend and suitors will be buoyed by the news that PSG are looking for just £22.5m to sign Aurier.

Tottenham are perhaps in greater need of a full-back following the departure of Kyle Walker to Manchester City but United are also looking for a long-term replacement for Antonio Valencia, who is 31.
