Arsenal are willing to reassess their stance on not selling Alexis Sanchez if they secure the transfer of Thomas Lemar.

The Gunners are pursuing the Monaco winger and have seen two hefty bids turned down for the France international already.

Monaco are refusing to sell the 21-year-old for a cut-price fee after already selling Benjamin Mendy, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva in big-money moves to the Premier League, while they are also set to lose Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid in a world-record deal.

With Mbappe set to leave, Lemar – who scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists last season – is now thought to be more keen on an exit and the Emirates remains his most likely destination.

And should Arsenal sign him, Arsene Wenger will reflect on his stance over Sanchez, according to the Telegraph.

The Chile international is set for a meeting with the French tactician on Monday amid interest from Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, in which he is expected to tell Wenger he wants to leave.

Arsenal are thought to be determined to keep him at the club but the signing of Lemar would open the door to the 28-year-old securing an exit, assuming they get a big offer for the attacker.
