Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has vowed to speak directly to Arsene Wenger should the French club wish to sign Alexis Sanchez this summer.

The Ligue 1 giants sealed a world record move for Barcelona forward Neymar on Thursday and they will likely need to sell before bringing in any new faces.

Sanchez, 28, has less than a year to run on his existing deal at the Emirates and is believed to be keen on leaving the Gunners. Arsene Wenger, though, remains adamant that Sanchez will not be sold this summer.

Reports in July claimed Sanchez’s representatives met with Paris Saint-Germain officials but Al- Khelaifi says the club will speak with Wenger if they want to raise their interest.

‘If I want Alexis Sanchez I’m going to talk to Arsene Wenger,’ Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports.

‘We have respect for Arsenal [and have] excellent relations.’

Sanchez has remained tight-lipped over his future at the club and the nearest he’s come to confirming he wants to leave this summer is when he insisted he wanted to play for a Champions League club.

However, Wenger says Sanchez ‘respects’ the decision the club has made not to sell him.
