Leander Dendoncker’s agent has revealed that the midfielder wants to leave Anderlecht following interest from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Reports have claimed that United got in touch with 22-year-old’s representatives earlier this summer before they signed Nemanja Matic in a £40 million deal from Chelsea.

United have regularly sent scouts to monitor Dendoncker and the midfielder impressed when he faced Jose Mourinho’s side in the Europa League last season.

Anderlecht have admitted that they are open to offers of at least €25m (£22.5m) but the midfielder’s agent now claims the Belgian champions want the player to stay for another campaign.

‘Anderlecht want to keep him, but the kid wants a new challenge,’ Henrotay told Foot Mercato.

‘We’ll see if we can find an agreement with the club, but that seems difficult.’
